Workplace Behaviours Policy

At Build Crew Pty Ltd, we are committed to providing a safe and respectful workplace for all employees. We expect all employees to behave in a professional and appropriate manner, and to treat their colleagues with respect and dignity. This policy outlines our expectations of workplace behaviour and provides guidance on how to deal with incidents of bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, aggression and violence.

Bullying and Harassment

Bullying and harassment are unacceptable forms of behaviour in the workplace. Build Crew Pty Ltd has zero tolerance for any form of bullying or harassment. This includes any behaviour that is offensive, intimidating, humiliating, or threatening to another person. Examples of bullying and harassment include, but are not limited to:
– Verbal abuse or insults
– Physical intimidation or violence
– Excluding or isolating a person from the workplace
– Spreading rumours or gossip
– Offensive or inappropriate jokes or comments
– Discrimination based on a person’s race, gender, sexuality, or other personal characteristic
Any employee who engages in bullying or harassment will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Employees who witness bullying or harassment are encouraged to report it to their supervisor or the HR department. All reports will be taken seriously and will be investigated promptly and confidentially.

Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment is a form of discrimination that is illegal under Queensland and Australian law. Sexual harassment can include any unwelcome sexual advance, request for sexual favours, or other unwanted conduct of a sexual nature that makes a person feel uncomfortable, intimidated, or offended. Examples of sexual harassment include, but are not limited to:
– Unwanted physical contact or touching
– Sexual comments or jokes
– Displaying sexually explicit material
– Making sexual gestures or noises
– Asking personal questions of a sexual nature
– Offering or withholding employment benefits based on sexual favours
Build Crew Pty Ltd has a zero tolerance policy towards sexual harassment. Any employee who engages in sexual harassment will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Employees who witness sexual harassment are encouraged to report it to their supervisor or the HR department. All reports will be taken seriously and will be investigated promptly and confidentially.

Aggression and Violence

Aggression and violence are never acceptable in the workplace. This includes any behaviour that is physically or verbally threatening or intimidating, or that causes harm or injury to another person. Examples of aggression and violence include, but are not limited to:
– Physical assault
– Verbal threats or abuse
– Intimidation or harassment
– Damaging company property

Any employee who engages in aggression or violence will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Employees who witness aggression or violence are encouraged to report it to their supervisor or the HR department. All reports will be taken seriously and will be investigated promptly and confidentially.
